Introduction to Passivhaus
Introduction to Passivhaus is a preliminary course and includes the following learning outcomes:
Identifying the five basic principles of Passive House
Recognising the difference between the Passive House building standard and other building codes
Understanding the process of Passive House certification
This course meets the following competencies as defined by the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia (AACA):
Design 3.3 - Conceptual Design: Design response incorporates assessment of the physical location and relevant wider regional, contextual and environmental issues.
Design 3.4 - Conceptual Design: Design response incorporates assessment of relevant legislation, codes and industry standards.
Design 4.1- Schematic Design: Evaluation of design options in relation to project requirement.
